Conspiracy Theories Part I

Today, many people believe in conspiracy theories. Some theories are very interesting and make you to think, other are very strange.  The theories start from death of JFK, Marilyn Monroe that are kind of interesting to strange ones such existence aliens and that they are already landed on the Earth and control many governments. Moreover, there are other stringier such as David Icke’s theory that believe that many government officials are not human but reptiles. You can check his work on his site http://www.davidicke.com/
Even though there not answers to many of those theories, we just can speculate, I am posting few videos that talk about those theories.

First video is about Marilyn Monroe, many think that she died not because of overdose, but because she was murdered, she knew too much.  She was very popular and affairs with many popular people even the president of the USA –JFK.
or watch this video here: http://youtu.be/rEhWaQyvSwM

The second theory that I found interesting is the death of JFK.  Some think that he was assassinated by mob, other by JFK vice president Lyndon B. Johnson   or a rich guy from Texas. However, until this day nobody knows what really happened, many evidence were lost, so we have to speculate again.
 or watch this video here:http://youtu.be/ez70NPwy7GY
The third interesting conspiracy theory is 9/11. Many think that this was an inside job. That not few terrorist flying two airplanes destroyed the twin tower, but explosive that were placed the foundation of those to buildings.

Note:  By posting those videos on my blog I am not saying that this is true, I just think is a good topic to discuss.
I am just curious what do you think about so please comment.
Check my blog later I will post  more videos and other conspiracy theories.

Is American Education Model a Good Model to Follow?

Dr Zhao one of Education professors argue that education model in american is best than the most other countries. Even though, compare to other countries  the USA seems to rank low, our education system is better than Chinese  Education system. He argue that test score do not show the whole picture.

According to the Dr Zhao (in the book Catching UP) one of the most serious consequences of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) is that it leads to homogenization of talents. While the purpose of education system should be to ensure every child receives a good education. Dr. Zhao says that NCLB defines good education if there good scores in a limited number of subjects and that don’t give students an opportunities to develop talents in other areas. However, if we will assume that NCLB works, we will develop a group of individuals with the same abilities, skills, and knowledge. American needs a citizenry of creative individuals with a wide range of talents to sustain its tradition of innovation.

The author says that to test only in few subjects can hurt student ability to develop their talents, However, I think that test motivate students to study. I agree if this principle is conducted in college where students are more responsible. Moreover, test such as in math or English are necessary because they are as a base for many other subjects.

He talks more about all those issues on his webpagehttp://zhaolearning.com/.

Is Virtual Reality a Good Place for Education?

We live in 21st century with a progressively diverse, globalized and complex society. The 21st century is escorted by drastic technological revolution.  Two or three years old boy may not be able to count, read, or write, but he will be able to play a video game, navigate through an iPad or an iPhone applications, or play on the computer.
Education has changed significantly in many areas. It went from pen or pencil and paper to computers and Microsoft Office programs, from the chalk and chalkboard to whiteboard, from face to face classes to distance learning. And now the question that seems to be attention-grabbing and not easy to answer is: what will be the education for the future? Researchers now talk not about only online learning (distance learning), but about something more advance called virtual world or second life.

Hamlets

Virtual Reality Glove

The term Virtual Reality (VR) may have different meaning for many people. If for some VR is conversation books, movies and pure fantasy or imaginations for other VR is a specific collection of technology such as computers, glove input device, helmet, speakers, and so on. VR can range from simple environments presented on a desktop computer to fully immersive multisensory environments experienced through complex headgear and bodysuits. . In all of its manifestations, VR is basically a way of simulating or replicating an environment and giving the user a sense of being there, taking control, and personally interacting with that environment with his/her own body.

Is this you in the future?

Through various display devices such as helmet and glove input device, data is transformed into 3D images that you not only can see, but also hear or even touch. The users manipulate what is perceived to be “real” objects in the same manner as they would manipulate them in the real world, as opposed to the typing, pointing and clicking you traditionally use to manipulate objects when you interact in other computer environments.

Is this you it he future?

Is this you in the future?

The appearance or illusion that is created by the computer program and transmitted by the display devices seem so actual that human brain accepts it as a real environment. You may grab an object with your hands, lift it as you normally lift objects in the real world, and put it down wherever you want it inside the virtual environment. In other words, VR become as real as Real World.

VR has traditionally been used to train military pilots and tank crews.  In many cases, the trainee steps into a simulator device, which is surrounded by screens that generate a 3-D image completely controlled by high-powered, computerized artificial intelligence. Today, new VR tools allow multiple participants to freely interact with each other in 3-D computerized environment. Training with VR allows large numbers of personnel to interact in a simulated face-to-face environment with other distant military units through the Internet (or through the classified network known as SIPRNET), and with first-responder units, civilians, and even medical personnel units, providing a training experience that is increasingly effective

Education changed significant for the past few years. Today, we have more and more online classes.  Moreover, the number of online high schools, universities and colleges rose too. Often is possible to see or hear ads about online universities that became more popular for the past few years such as University of Phoenix, Kaplan University, American InterContinental University, and so on. However, the sifting from tradition education did not stop here. Today, researchers are taking about something more advance such as learning in virtual reality. VR was used until now for gaming, for social purposes such as chats, and military, but today VR is entering the education world. The use of VR technology for education purposes is still in the beginning stages.

So do you think that is possible? Could this be dangerous for society?  Or Could be this a solution for  some social problems?

What Do You Think About Integrate Technology in Schools ?

Technology is everywhere and it touches almost every part of our lives, our communities, our homes. Now, more and more technology is used in school. Integrating technology into classroom means more than teaching basic computer skills and software programs in a separate computer class. Real integration of technology in classroom means that it should happen across the curriculum and shows extend and increase in the learning process.

Technology also change the way teachers teach. The new technological tools offer teachers many effective ways to reach different types of learners and evaluate student understanding much easier. Also it can improve the relationship between teacher and students. For instance, when technology is effectively integrated into subject areas, teachers grow into roles of adviser, content expert, and coach. In other words, technology helps make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun.

In mathematics, technology is used for few decades. The first and the most used technological tool in mathematics is calculator. Calculators are one of the essential technologies in mathematics classrooms that enhance student understanding. However, the time changes, and not only because today's society is becoming more and more advanced  and dependent upon technology, but also many schools are beginning to embrace technology as an essential part of their curricula. Today, besides calculator teachers can use computers, web based applications (web 2.0 or MyMathLab), projectors, smart board, clickers and so on. In other word we have all the advance technology that can be used for the benefit of teaching and learning.

Note: Watch this video and let me know what do you think about technology and school?

21st Century Persecutions, So Are We Ready For This? Part I

We complain about our lives a lot even though we have all that is necessary to live. My people in the world do not have food to eat or water to drink. On  the other hand , we open the refrigerator and we don't know what to choose to eat because there is a lot food in there and is hard to choose. Moreover, there are  people that suffer even more. There are countries around the world, where people are persecuted if they have different ideas, opinion or religion than the Government or the majority in that country. Not long time ago I read an article about a man that was found guilt and convicted just because he stood for his ideas.  Go to this webpage if you want to read more about: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/02/22/iran-court-convicts-christian-pastor-convert-to-death/. Most of us think that in the 21st century will not here  about something like this. However, even today there countries where people are persecuted for believing in Jesus Christ. And even today there are people that are willing to die for him. Now the questions is: Are we ready to die for him?

Please comment on my blog, I would like you opinion. Thank You!

Is Our Government involved in this? Can This Be True?

One day I was listening to Michael Savage. He mention the he is not part of Bohemian Grove or something like that. I google "Bohemian Grove and I found something interesting. The Bohemian Club's all-male membership includes artists, particularly musicians, as well as many prominent business leaders, government officials (including many former U.S. presidents), senior media executives, and people of power. Members may invite guests to the Grove although those guests are subject to a screening procedure. A guest's first glimpse of the Grove typically is during the "Spring Jinks" in June, preceding the main July encampment. Bohemian club members can schedule private day-use events at the Grove any time it is not being used for Club-wide purposes, and are allowed at these times to bring spouses, family and friends, though female and minor guests must be off the property by 9 or 10 p.m.

Later, I searched it on YouTube, and I found some interesting video. Here it is:

The topic about secret societies is controversial. Many government officials deny that they are part of it. I will post more information later. Now,  I am curious what people think about this video and about Bohemian Grove, so please comment.
